The
Medical Center of Central Georgia (MCCG) enrolls in the Pocket
EKG Program in May of 2005.
Suellen
Richardson, Assistant Vice President of the Georgia Heart Center,
states that the Pocket EKG Program allows Georgia Heart Center
at The Medical Center of Central Georgia to broaden its array
of cardiovascular patient services and provide additional portable
health information to ensure appropriate access in the event
of an emergency.

serves an estimated 750,000 residents and is presently the second
largest hospital in the state of Georgia. The Hospital’s Cardiac
Care Unit, The Georgia Heart Center, maintains the largest heart
program in the state of Georgia outside of Atlanta. The Center
averages more than eleven hundred open-heart surgeries annually
and is equipped with the latest technological advancements to provide
a full range of cardiovascular services. Such services include

quality of care.” This rating places MCCG in the top 10 percent
of an estimated five thousand hospitals nationwide for its cardiac-care
program.
